Challenge: Create a communicative solution for the roll out of the new Intersport Concept Stores.
Approach and solution
“Become better at sports by training.”
To visualize this insight we used – in consultation with the architect – the anatomical representation of tissues from different muscle groups. Decorative line drawings became the connecting element for the store. For each sport a different pattern was used. In line with the “muscles” a goal net was illustrated for the football corner.
We guided and advised Intersport by the use of design, lighting and materials. We also took care of the production and installation. The concept store in The Hague was the first of many in the Benelux and Spain.
Dynamic patterns as decorations_
During the design of the store we also took care of the installation of the spaces intended for sponsored brands.
Nike, for example, wanted to show its latest shoe model. From a campaign concept with a rose as a visual element, we recommended printing it as a 3D object. This “special display” became the creative centre of the Nike Area.
